America as an example of cultural diversity

America is a country that has a lot of immigrants as its main population. The early immigrants to America were Europeans (British, German, Italian, French, Russian.. etc). They were driven by the need to find new land with richer resources and new opportunities. The immigration started around 1607 with the first English colony at Virginia. Since that time, people from around Europe started flooding in later a few  decades later. Then people from around the world followed their footsteps and went there for a hope for a better place. This also came in the expense of the Native-Americans which their numbers declined rapidly as immigrants rushed to the land.

So, America is actually composed of so many nationalities, cultures and languages!
In most of the United states, you will notice places like China towns, Korean shops, Spanish markets, French restaurants and so on.  This came as a result of the diversity of the people that live in the United states.
